The MacDowell Colony nurtures the arts by offering creative individuals of the highest talent an inspiring environment in which to produce enduring works of the imagination. Residencies are awarded based on a completed application to the Colony. Applications are chosen by a peer-review panel. Artists may apply only ONCE within a 24-month period. Artists who are enrolled in any degree program at the date of the application deadline are not eligible to apply. Select the residency period that best suits your schedule.
